Module II — Productivity

Productivity is an ever-growing concern in FM maintenance, since we all want to ensure an efficient use of resources, optimised equipment performance, and maximised overall operational effectiveness. 

In fact, in a survey conducted by Infraspeak during the IFM Tour 2023, 19% of the participants referred to “predictive maintenance and data analytics” as one of the top 3 most important productivity enhancers in FM, followed by “automations and IoT” (17%) and by  “integration between multiple systems and platforms” (16%).

It is undeniable that, these days, productivity means more than planning and scheduling  — skilled and trained personnel are crucial to meet the demands of Maintenance 5.0, and there are also new elements like interoperability or AI joining the chessboard; technological advancements present both opportunities and challenges, enabling proactive and data-driven decision-making. In such a rapidly changing scenario, is the good old CMMS still good enough?
